About us

Românca Society, established in June 2005, is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation, established with the purpose of supporting the social integration of Romanians present in the UK in the local society.
Societatea Românca functioneaza in regim de voluntariat si se finanteaza prin cotizatiile membrilor, donatii si sponsorizari.
Obiectivul nostru consta in a pastra vii traditiile, cultura si limba româna si in a le face cunoscute in Marea Britanie. Ne propunem sa indeplinim acest obiectiv prin diferite activitati sociale: concerte de muzica clasica, expozitii, cine dansante, festivaluri, precum si alte proiecte initiate de membri organizatiei noastre.

Projects

  • The Metaphor in Action
    July 2012
    The main goal of our training course "The Metaphor in Action" is to improve creativity and increase knowledge, learning methods and experiences of participants, so that they will be able to use it in everyday work for youth with educational difficulties and social integration including them in active local community life.


  • Fem-21 Women voice in Europe
    2011 - 2013
    The project Fem21-Women's Voices and Ways of Perceiving Them in Europe via Culture, Traditions, Diversity and Friendship is a EU Grudtvig project organized by ARIADNA - Romanian Women Journalist Association, Connexion Roumanie and Romanca Society during 2011 - 2013. The project aim is to value the women's contributions to the constructive intercultural approach to unity in diversity in Europe.
