Marcel Opera is a new company with strong links to the London Docklands Singers and the Marcel Sinfonia. In this production members of LDS take on many of the character roles and also the chorus. The cast is accompanied by professional players of the Marcel Sinfonia. LDS has strong links with The Space, and has given an annual Christmas concert here for many years.
Andrew Campling is musical director of Marcel Opera, Marcel Sinfonia and the London Docklands Singers.
Dominick Mereworth is an established poet and playwright; he has done much research into the life of Queen Marie of Romania.
Tim Brierley is an actor, writer and director; his many credits include work for the Royal Opera House.
