The Ambassador of Romania’s lecture at the University of Oxford

Embassy of Romania – London/ On 10 May 2011, the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom, Dr Ion Jinga, will deliver a lecture on “Romania: from the crossroad of empires to a hub of European values ” at the Faculty of History, University of Oxford, as the part of the Central European Seminar Series.

Organised by Dr Marius Turda (Associate Professor, Oxford Brookes University), the seminar proposes group discussions with students and academics currently engaged in research on Central and Eastern European issues in Oxford. This year guest speakers included ambassadors of other Central European countries accredited to London.

Dr Robert Evans, Regius Professor of Post-Medieval History of Central and Eastern Europe, will moderate the discussion.
